The Tour de Yorkshire 2018 cycling race is coming to our area. On the 4th and final day, it will start at the Piece Hall and travel  through Luddendenfoot and Mytholmroyd before ascending the first of six climbs - "Cote de Hebden Bridge”, ascending Keighley Road en route to Oxenhope.  (Friday, 8 December 2017)

Happy Hounds Classes: Hebden’s Happy Hounds returns on Saturday 22nd July, 11am – 3pm. Held in Calder Holmes Park, it promises to be a fantastic day for all the family.

Town Hall Birthday Party - The day of the start of the Arts Festival, 24th June 2017 is also the Town Hall's Birthday. The new building is 5 years old whilst the old building is 125 years old. As such Hebden Royd Town Council is organising birthday celebration for all of our fantastic children in the area. 

A New Mayor For Hebden Royd: At the Annual Meeting of the Town Council Cllr Pat Fraser was elected to the post of Town Mayor. Accepting the nomination from fellow councillors Cllr Fraser thanked all the Town Councillors and Council Staff for their hard work and said that she would be looking forward to keeping them all in line during the next twelve months.

Service to the Community Awards: At the Annual Meeting of Hebden Royd Town Council two outstanding individuals were recognised for the support they had provided to their local community. Trevor Bannister and Zwyela Mitchell dos Santos were presented with their awards by Cllr Pat Fraser, the new Mayor of Hebden Royd.

Vigil in solidarity with Orlando: As a mark of solidarity and respect the 15 June council meeting was adjourned at 8.55pm to mark that on Sunday, 12th June 2016 the people of Orlando, Florida were cowardly attacked and robbed of innocent lives. To show the LGBT community support and to join a walk of solidarity and a candlelit vigil in support of the families and friends of those who lost their lives.

Hebden 1916: On Saturday 25th June it is your opportunity to experience what life was like 100 years ago. Hebden 1916 is an event for children to learn about Hebden in WW1 looking at toys, photographs and clothes. New Mayor for Hebden Royd Town Council: At a meeting of the Town Council on 16 Sept, Cllr Karl Boggis stood down as Mayor of Hebden Royd Town Council to allow him more time to spend with his young family. New Mayor for Town Council: The Annual Meeting of Hebden Royd Town Council took place at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Mytholmroyd. Cllr Karl Boggis was elected as the new Mayor of Hebden Royd, and Cllr James Fearon was elected as Deputy Mayor. Cllr Boggis announced his consort for the year would be his fiancee Felicity Dargen-Bell and Cllr Fearon announced his consort would be his son, Ennis Fearon. (Friday, 22 May 2015)

New Year brings with it new things at the Hebden Bridge Picture House: Starting this January, Parent and Baby screenings will be part of the Picture House programme.
