Hebden Royd Town Council is looking to recruit a proactive individual to provide effective administration and office support. The applicant will be able to implement, evaluate and improve administrative and information systems and be responsible for maintaining sales and purchase ledgers and all elements of the Hebden Royd Town Councils payroll. The post holder will act as secretary to the Town Mayor, arranging and organising events associated with the office of Mayor
The successful applicant will have significant experience of all aspects of administration in a local government or related work setting, experience of effectively maintaining sales/ purchase ledgers and payroll systems as well as experience in dealing with enquiries and requests for information.
Holding a NVQ level 2 in Administration or equivalent the successful applicant must be able to plan, prioritise, manage and develop administrative activities within a busy office. Having the ability to pay attention to detail coupled with good numeracy and ICT skills are seen as fundamental to the role. Excellent organisational skills and a commitment to training are also seen as essential requirements.
Occasional evening and weekend work will be required for which time off in lieu can be taken.
