Community Funding grants

Hebden Royd Town Council is again keen to hear from any local community organisations who need financial support to deliver projects which will improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of people who live and work in the local area.

The Community Funding Committee meets quarterly to consider grant applications, which can be for large or small sums of money. At a recent meeting of the committee Councillor James Fearon was re-elected as committee chair and said, "In this time of austerity we understand that this funding can make a real difference. We want to support all sections of our local community but are particularly keen to support projects working with children and the elderly, often the most vulnerable in difficult times. This year I am particularly delighted that the council has listened to the voice of local people and chosen to ring-fence a minimum of 15% of our grant budget to support projects which aim to promote health and physical well being."

Information packs and application forms can be obtained from the Town Clerk, by visiting www.hebdenroyd.org.uk, calling on 01422 842181 or by calling into the Town Hall, St George's Street, Hebden Bridge and who is happy to explain the funding available and support groups through the application process.
