On Saturday, the Mayor of Hebden Royd Town Council, Cllr Steve Woodhead attended the Yorkshire Day Civic Celebration, hosted this year by Goole Town Council and organised by The Yorkshire Society. It was a day to recognise and be proud of Yorkshire’s rich heritage, culture and spirit.
Meanwhile, Hebden Bridge was bustling with visitors thanks to the Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend and the Steampunk Weekend.
On Saturday, the Deputy Mayor of Hebden Royd Town Council, Cllr Alex Turner, attended the Vintage Weekend. The Mayor, Cllr Woodhead, attended on Sunday, along with Cllr Kate Macdonald as his Consort. There, they had the honour of presenting individual class prizes and had a fantastic time supporting this well-loved fundraising event.
