I am proud to represent Cragg Vale Ward on two occasions. I was elected as Councillor for Cragg Vale Ward on 15th January 2026. I was previously a Councillor from 2007 to 2019, which included one year as Mayor.
I am married with four amazing children and have lived in the Cragg Vale for over 28 years. I have always been passionate about our area and in particular I have priorities around road safety for residents and keeping our area beautiful for us who live here and visitors alike. We are truly blessed to live in such a wonderful place and I feel real duty to help protect it
I am a founding member of the Cragg Vale Community Association, whereby along with some other residents we stated this group with the intend to help attract money and more focus on Cragg Vale. It is still going strong after nearly 20 years. I was also previously the the Town Mayor, Town and Parish Council Parish Representative on Calderdale Forward and a local school governor.
My simple goal is for a safe environment for our children to live and play in and to preserve and enhance the special characteristics of our community and area in Hebden Royd.
