From 2024 onwards Hebden Royd Town Council have fully funded the provision of Christmas lighting across Hebden Royd, ensuring our towns sparkle for residents, visitors, and tourists alike.
Following a competitive procurement process HRTC awarded a five-year lighting contract to Blachere Illuminations, a company renowned for its sustainable and innovative lighting solutions. Blachere stood out not only for offering cost-effective services but also for its strong environmental credentials, which align with the Council’s commitment to sustainability. The company also uses recyclable materials—including their unique Bio-Print structures made from GMO-free sugarcane which further support the Town Council’s ambitions. These displays are designed to have a lower environmental impact throughout their lifecycle, from production to disposal.
HRTC will be exploring the possibility of incrementally updating lighting across other parts of Hebden Royd in the future.
