Hebden Royd Town Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Green as the new Town Clerk. This follows the upcoming retirement of Jason Boom, who has dedicated 18 years of service to the Council and the Hebden Royd community. Jason will be stepping down from his role in late December.
Cllr. Pat Fraser, Mayor of Hebden Royd Town Council said, "Emma possesses all the qualities required for this demanding role. She is hardworking, efficient, and deeply engaged with both the Town Councillors and the Hebden Royd community. We are confident as we look ahead to this next chapter in the life of our Town Council, knowing that our new Town Clerk brings the skills and expertise needed to meet upcoming challenges. We trust she will provide steadfast support to our elected Councillors and to Hebden Royd residents in achieving their plans and aspirations."
On her new appointment Emma stated: "I am deeply honoured to step into the role of Town Clerk and to serve the Hebden Royd community in this capacity. Jason has left a robust legacy, and I am committed to building on his dedication and achievements to ensure a seamless transition and a bright future for the Town Council and the Picture House. Our team is exceptional, and I am proud to work alongside such dedicated individuals".
While change is inevitable in any transition, Emma has underscored the point that her door will always be open for ideas and feedback. She explains: "Together, I am confident that we can navigate this new chapter with positivity and shared purpose. I am truly inspired by the dedication of everyone on the HRTC team and am excited about what we will accomplish for our community."
