NOTICE OF ELECTION

TOWNSHIP OF HEBDEN ROYD

ELECTION OF TOWN COUNCILLOR
for the
FAIRFIELD WARD

  1. An election is to be held of a Town Councillor for the said ward.
  2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at Electoral Services, Mulcture House, Mulcture Hall Road, Halifax, HX1 1SP between 9am and 5pm on any day after the date of this notice (except for Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays), but not later than 4pm on Friday 27 October 2023.
  3. Forms of nomination paper may be obtained from the Returning Officer at Electoral Services, Mulcture House, Mulcture Hall Road, Halifax, HX1 1SP, who will, at the request of any elector for the electoral ward, prepare a nomination paper for signature.
  4. If any election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 23 November 2023.
  5. Applications, amendments, or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at The Town Hall, Halifax, HX1 1UJ by 5 pm on Wednesday 8 November 2023.
  6. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 7 November 2023. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
  7. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector's Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday 15 November 2023. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voterauthority-certificate
  8. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at The Town Hall, Halifax, HX1 1UJ by 5 pm on Wednesday 15 November 2023.
  9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at The Town Hall, Halifax, HX1 1UJ by 5 pm on Thursday 23 November 2023.
