Grants awarded to Hebden Royd community
to mark Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

To help Hebden Royd residents celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's 70th year of reign, Hebden Royd Town Council (HRTC) have awarded grants to community groups and individuals in the community to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee over the four-day extended Bank Holiday weekend, between 2 – 5 June 2022.

The 6 February 2022 marks the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the British throne and this will be the first ever Platinum Jubilee in the history of British monarchs.

The following Jubilee grants have been awarded to:

  • £500.00 The Station Partnership
  • £500.00 Calder Community Cares
  • £500.00 Hope Baptist Church
  • £100.00 Stoney Springs Mill Residents
  • £500.00 St John's (Cragg Vale)
  • £500.00 Mytholmroyd Scout Group
  • £100.00 Hugh Knopf - Fairfield Residents
  • £100.00 Elphin Court
  • £488.09 St James Church

Hebden Royd Mayor, Cllr Rob Freeth said, "I am delighted we are able to support local organisations, individuals and groups to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and to help bring communities together."

There will be many events and activities celebrating the Jubilee across the UK Commonwealth and beyond in the months leading up to the special extended bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June 2022.
