Calder Community Cares launches Winter
Community Plan with support from HRTC

Calder Community Cares (CCC) are a volunteer organisation with a commitment to provide an ongoing service to the people of the Upper Calder Valley area in West Yorkshire. Established in response to Covid 19 pandemic their vision and aims extend beyond the impact this dreadful virus has had on our community.

In response to this, CCC have launched a Winter Community Plan, with £5000 funding received from Hebden Royd Town Council, alongside donations from Community Foundation for Calderdale and the Co-op.

The Winter Community Plan will provide support for all our families who need it in Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd over the winter period, delivering top-up shopping bags to families and individuals in the Upper Calder Valley.

Calder Community Cares are asking for your support to help families and individuals who are struggling over the winter season:

  • £10.00 will pay towards a Food Shop Top-up for a family of 4
  • £5.00 will add an extra Food Shop Top-up to those who need it the most this winter, young or old
  • £1 pound will help us continue to support our Community Friends into and beyond the Christmas period

If you would like to help either by volunteering or donating please visit their website www.caldercares.org.uk
