Councillor Val Stevens, Mayor of Hebden Royd, visited local shops that remained open during lockdown. She thanked them for providing much needed services for all the residents of Hebden Royd. Now that non-essential retailers can begin to trade it is more important than ever to support the local high street.
Local businesses have developed innovative ways to reach out to those who need it and have provided goods and services in different ways for all customers. They have shown the resilence needed to come through the current crisis.
Cllr Stevens said, 'I urge people to shop locally and support the local high street and applaud the Loyal to Local initiative by the Hebden Business Forum. In addition, I have written to thank those businesses that have supported the Eat Together, Stay Home scheme. Hebden Royd is a wonderful community. Let's keep it that way'
