A special online film screening of Slowing The Flow Together ; a chance to see how flood risk has been reduced in Calderdale using natural methods.
Slow the Flow and The National Trust have been working in partnership on an ambitious project at Hardcastle Crags near Hebden Bridge and have now installed over 500 leaky dams and a kilometre of contour logs, in the woodland as part of the National Trust woodland plan.
The film shows how Slow The Flow was established, how the Natural Flood Management process developed and the difference it has made to the local communities along the Calder Valley.
This film will be shown virtually via Zoom and will include an introduction with Andy Clark, the film maker and a short Q&A with Natural Flood Management experts afterwards.
