Tour de Yorkshire: Handmade Parade want helpers

Can you be of help this Tour de Yorkshire? Handmade Parade are looking for people who are going to watch the race to be flag bearers! Please go to their Facebook page and let them know if this is something you would be able to help with! This is what they’re asking:

“The TOUR de YORKSHIRE is coming through Hebden and Mytholmroyd this SUNDAY, 6th May! We’re making lovely flags and banners with an amazing team of talented volunteers and funding from Hebden Royd Town Council.
We need people to HOLD the FLAGS for us on Sunday. If you’re going to be watching the race in Hebden or Mytholmroyd anyway, could you please be a flag bearer for us? They’re not heavy, and we just need you to pick one up before you go and choose your place to watch, then pop it back to us when the race is over. Easy Peasy. You might even be tempted to give it a little wave now and then.

We’ll be running free “make and take” sessions on the day so you won’t have to travel out of your way to find us:
- In Hebden, look for our market stall near to the road.
- In Mytholmroyd, we’ll be up by the GP/Dentist

Give us a shout on here if you can hold a flag, please, and whether you’ll be in Hebden or Mytholmroyd. Just so that we’ve got a rough idea how many flags to send to each area. Thanks!”
