Last week, the Community Funding Committee held its first meeting of the 2026/27 Council year. Councillor Guilfoyle was voted in as Chair of the Committee, with Councillor Hoyle voted in as Deputy Chair.
The Hebden Bridge Junior Band was awarded £5,000 for instruments, tuition, travel and uniform for new and existing band members, aged between 7 to 19. Hebden Royd Town Council is delighted to be supporting this initiative and assisting with membership costs for young people whose families face financial barriers.

Hebden Bridge Junior Band will next be performing in the ‘Spring into Summer’ on Friday 12th June at 6.30pm at St.John’s Church, Cragg Vale.
