Sheep return to High Hirst for Conservation Grazing

A small flock of sheep graze on the sloping hillside of High Hirst Woodmeadow in Hebden Bridge

The sheep are now back at High Hirst Woodmeadow Project for Conservation Grazing, helping to maintain the ecology of this Local Wildlife Site.

We expect the sheep to be on site for approximately 6-10 weeks: to be confirmed in due course.

During this time, the permissive path will be closed and gates locked, for the safety and welfare of the sheep.

We’d like to thank you for your understanding during this temporary closure of the permissive path. And a special thank you to the volunteers of Sheep Watch!
