Hebden's Happy Hounds

The annual Hebden's Happy Hounds event will be back bigger and better than ever on Saturday 23rd July!

The event will be open from 11am until 3pm, and is being run in by Hebden Royd Town Council in partnership with Calderdale Council and promises to be full of fun with activities for all the family.

Hebden's Happy Hounds has been organised in response to complaints about irresponsible dog owners, not just in terms of dog fouling, but also badly trained and poorly behaved dogs. However it is widely recognised that this is a minority of owners. The majority of dog owners are responsible and this event celebrates all that is wonderful about responsible dog ownership.

As well as providing a source of information and education this event will highlight some highlight some of the very important roles that dogs play in our society, as well as helpful advice from local dog trainers…just how do you stop your four legged friends jumping up with their over enthusiastic greeting, eating out of the bin and taking you for a walk!

Ulti-Mutts Agility will be running some fantastic demonstrations and 'Have a go Agility'. There will also be a number of fun dog classes, so come along and join in.

In addition, there will be fun for all the family with demonstrations, information, face painting, and children's entertainment making it a perfect afternoon out, dog lover or not.
