Hebden 1916

On Saturday 25th June it is your opportunity to experience what life was like 100 years ago. Hebden 1916 is an event for children to learn about Hebden in WW1 looking at toys, photographs and clothes. There will be lots of opportunity to dress up, have pictures taken and rediscover stories from 1916.

A nod to the battle of Jutland will allow children to get crafty by making boats to float down the river. There will also be a fantastic handling collection from Banksfield museum available showing children a whole array of items from WW1.

On top of those activities, there will be a live sand sculpture workshop to encourage interpretation of Hebden Bridge in 1916. The event will be a great way to get children to think about the past, especially in the place that they now like.

Come along to the Waterfront Hall and outdoor terrace, Saturday 25th June, 11am - 3pm.  The Town Hall Café will be open as usual for lunches, drinks and snacks.
